Ishan Kishan excluded from the 3rd T20I against Sri Lanka after being hit in the head.

INDvsSL: Indian team’s left-handed goalkeeper-beater Ishan Kishan has been ruled out of the 3rd T20I game between India and Sri Lanka after suffering a blow to the head. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made him unavailable for Sunday’s game at Dharmshala in Himachal Pradesh.

The incident happened in the second T20I won by the hosts. Ishan Kishan was unable to dodge or hit a sharp 145 KMPH bouncer from Lahiru Kumara and received a hit to his helmet. He was later tested for a concussion by BCCI field medical staff.

After that poor delivery, Ishan looked rusty and quickly offered his wicket after scoring 16 runs.

BCCI said the left-hander was rushed to a local hospital and underwent a CT scan. The reports have normal conclusions.

“Team India’s wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan was hit in the head while beating in the 2nd T2OI in Dharamsala on Saturday. Accompanied by a team doctor, he was taken to a hospital last night local for a check-up where a scan was performed. The scan results are normal,” the statement said.

The BCCI medical team will continuously monitor the youngster’s injury.

“The BCCI medical team will continue to closely monitor his signs of concussion. Ishan is ruled out of the third and final T20I against Sri Lanka,” he added.

Ishan Kishan, who played a nifty 89-point shot in the first T20I against Sri Lanka, looked pissed off in the next match. He did not look at comfort during his stay in the middle.

Meanwhile, Sanju Samson will take on the glove role for the Indian team in Ishan’s absence. He is set to open the heats with skipper Rohit Sharma in the third T20I at Dharmshala.

According to the news, Sri Lanka won the draw for the 3rd T20I and opted to beat first.

Team India made four changes, including the forced one. Ravi Bishnoi, Mohammad Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav and Avesh Khan are in Game 11 replacing Yuzvendra Chahal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah and Ishan Kishan.
